A series of regional consultations were convened in West and Central Africa, East and Southern Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and Pacific. The framework for these consultations was shaped by soundings taken from the Commonwealth Foundation’s Civil Society Advisory Committee. The reports from each of these regional consultations, together with submissions from Commonwealth Associations, provide the crucial ingredients for the Civil Society Statement.
