Commonwealth Association annual grants

The Commonwealth Foundation will be undergoing a comprehensive review of its Grants Programme over the next 8 months, and will launch a refreshed and revitalised programme in July 2012. To enable us to undertake the review there will be some changes to our grants activities during this period.

Around 20 associations accredited to the Commonwealth benefit each year from funding in the form of annual grants. These grants are designed to support those professional membership associations which have limited financial resources.

We award annual grants of up to £20,000 a year for each Commonwealth Association to cover planned activities as well as core costs, such as permanent staff salaries and administration. Activities which encourage skills transfer and experience sharing between Commonwealth countries are particularly encouraged.
