Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA)
Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA)
The CBA is funded by subscription from members of the major public service broadcasters of the Commonwealth.
The CBA seeks to further the concept of public service broadcasting, foster freedom of expression and the right to communicate and provide assistance to its members through training, bursaries, consultancies, networking opportunities and material for broadcast.
It provides a point of contact and a forum for discussion, assists in the exchange of information among members and help them to share knowledge and skills and encourages quality broadcasting through its awards programme.
It also promotes the values of the Commonwealth and encourages creativity in Commonwealth countries through the Commonwealth Short Story Competition, works with the Royal Commonwealth Society on the Commonwealth Vision Awards and administers bursaries for the training of the staff of member organisations.
