Commonwealth Legal Advisory Service (CLAS)
CLAS' mission is to advance the understanding of international and comparative law; to promote the rule of law in international affairs; and to promote their application through research, publications and events.
The Institute has over the last year begun a consultation process with the other Commonwealth legal bodies and organisations including the Commonwealth Secretariat, to map the current position and to exchange ideas and information. The first meeting of the Commonwealth Legal Forum was held in October at the Institute and it was agreed to explore further opportunities to work together, e.g. in the joint application of research projects.
