The Commonwealth Games & Commonwealth Youth Games are governed by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) which is a representative organisation comprising 71 participating Commonwealth Games Associations. India will host both the 3rd edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2008 in Pune and the 19th Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010.
As a means of improving society and the general well being of the people of member nations, the Federation also encourages and assists education via sport development and physical recreation throughout the Commonwealth
