Reporting on civil society responsive grants

All beneficiaries of the Foundation's Civil Society Responsive Grants are expected to submit a short report of the activity for which they received funding. This page contains links to the two report documents.

It is a condition of funding that grant beneficiaries submit reports for activities supported by the Commonwealth Foundation.  It is important that organisations which have received funding are able to account for the grant and show that it has been spent in line with what was agreed.  Narrative reports help us to better understand issues that may have been explored as part of the activity, and help to inform our own programme work.

The Foundation is particularly keen to receive personal accounts of the activitiy which was supported, the benefits participants obtained, and the plans emerging for future collaboration and follow-up activities, particularly at national level.

The beneficiary organisation is usually asked to submit the reports within six weeks of the end of the activity.  The Foundation may follow up with the beneficiary if further information is required.

There are two report templates - one narrative, and one financial - both of which are available to download from this page.  Instructions for submitting the reports can be found at the end of the documents.

The Foundation is also very keen to receive digital photos of the events for its own publicity.  Photos can be emailed to the email address provided
