Dr. Michael A. Bucknor is a Lecturer in the Department of Literatures in English at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies in Jamaica (UWI). In 2002 he was the Du Bois-Mandela-Rodney Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for Afroamerican and African Studies at the University of Michigan.

Professor Makarand Paranjape is a Professor of English at Jawaharlal Nehru University's Centre for English at the School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies. He has more than twenty-five books and 100 research papers to his credit, including five volumes of poetry, a collection of short stories, and a novel, The Narrator (1995).
