The 17th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (17CCEM) is a triennial event at which Commonwealth Education Ministers and senior officials are provided a platform to discuss elements of critical importance in strengthening education policies in the Commonwealth. 17CCEM, hosted by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Government of Malaysia will mark 60 years of the modern Commonwealth and 50 years of progress in education since the first Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers. It will build on the success of the last 50 years in light of the likely future. The Conference theme is 'Education in the Commonwealth: Towards and beyond global goals and targets'.
